Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway shows include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony Award winner actor has worked with a variety of well-known directors and actors in stage films and television. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career by working on new projects. Ashford will be next seen alongside Kumail Nannjiani on Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently working for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to stream on Disney's DTC platforms, as well as Hulu Original. Ashford will be seen opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheims Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the show. Ashford portrayed Paula Jones, the main character in Ryan Murphy's new FX program American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the scandal that brought Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main characters into the first ever impeachment trial in the United States in over a century. Ashford was a part of two seasons of cult CBS comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not unfamiliar with Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role in the role of Essie. She has also been in Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde in addition to the original role of Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for a Tony Award. Ashford is an Denver resident who splits his time in Los Angeles.
